A:
The navigation of the site should be clearly laid out so that any
potential customers will easier find what they are looking for and
as quickly as possible. The homepage is key in this regard, and
the links to the products and categories should be self-explanatory.
Although most customers will be on a high speed broadband, some
will not be, therefore pages that are as small as possible, with
quick loading images are essential. Whilst there are some excellent
web design companies, products, and traffic analytic's, they usually
come with a large fee and are not always necessary. There are plenty
of free services out there, Google being one for traffic analytic's.
Therefore, a full research of the options should be undertaken before
spending the cash, just because something costs more does not always
mean it will work better. A basic understanding of how search engines
rank pages is another advantage, some things to bear in mind, are,
links from other sites on a similar topic, page titles that are
precise and explanatory, and pages with a good structure are key.
